This presentation will address current pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment approaches for the client with Alzheimer’s Disease (AD). Neuropsychiatric symptoms often associated with AD will be addresses.
Objectives:
Participants will be able to:
- Identify at least two FDA approved treatments for Alzheimer’s Disease (AD).
- Recall at least two potential risk factors associated with psychotropic agents.
- Name at least two non-pharmacologic interventions that can be used to de-escalate neuropsychiatric symptoms associated with AD.
